A Little About Us

Debra Ordway started sewing and renting costumes in the early 1990’s in Boulder, CO from her basement. Debra had been a licensed beautician and seamstress her whole life. ¬†Finally, in 2005, Debra opened a shop at the first location to pursue her passion of selling, and renting costumes, wigs, makeup, masks, hats, and accessories in north Boulder at the Diagonal Plaza Mall on 28th Street and Diagonal.¬†Her husband, Richard, has an MBA (Master in Business Administration), and retired from his career to join her at the store. The¬†focus was on excellent customer service.

In 2009, the store moved to the Table Mesa Shopping Center off Broadway and Table Mesa in Boulder.

In 2012, Theatrical Costumes, ETC! added a huge new adjacent store which tripled inventory and tripled space.

In 2014, Theatrical Costumes, ETC!, and Trendy Boutique found its current home off Baseline and 30th street in the Williams Village shopping center over by Game Force and Carelli’s.

Today Theatrical Costumes, ETC! is a hub for people from all walks of life who unite under a shared love and passion for costumes, having fun, and living life in a way that makes you happy. Whether you’re a full time actor, going to a festival or event, or even just trying to find an Abraham Lincoln outfit for a school project, we are your store!Boulder Weekly 2016
